Formerly known as HERE Maps, HERE WeGo is a navigation app for Android devices. HERE WeGo is a carryover app that used to be available for Windows Phone. Nokia is the main developer behind this app, and the company understands smartphone apps. In this case, the developer created a capable navigation app that's comparable to other solutions. Most users will enjoy the simple user interface and overall excellent navigation directions.

HERE WeGo provides worldwide navigation information for getting from place to place. Luckily, the app covers driving, walking, and public transportation directions. Directions themselves are optimized for the fastest route and are quite accurate. Users won't have to worry about ending up at the wrong location or getting lost. Offline maps ensure that a slow internet connection won't stop a person from traveling.

Navigation within HERE WeGo is fast and simple. The user interface might look a little strange compared to most Android apps. For better or worse, Nokia originally developed this app for Windows Phone rather than Android. A split-screen view provides ample information but looks out of place for an Android app. While HERE WeGo features local search features, they're more sparse than competing navigation apps.

HERE WeGo succeeds at being a simple and straightforward navigation app. Google Maps and Apple Maps, among other navigation solutions, come with more features. For that reason, it's difficult to recommend Nokia's solution above other options. If an individual wants nothing more than navigation information, then Waze might provide a better experience. There are no major deal breakers with HERE WeGo, but the app might be a little too basic.
